After reading this, you will know which outfit sets come with the Snail, Orange Mushroom and Zakum tiers of the Founder's Package, what it means that Steam sells only the top tier, and which deadlines Nexon has published for buying, claiming and opening the items. Item names and tier contents come from the mapleclassic.wiki package pages. Nexon is authoritative for dates, prices and policy, so check its FAQ before you spend money.
This guide covers MapleStory Classic World, Nexon's recreation of pre-Big Bang MapleStory inside the Global MapleStory (GMS) client. Grand Launch is October 21, 2026. Founder's Access begins October 6, 2026 for qualifying packages. Nexon says progress made during Founder's Access carries directly into Grand Launch, with no wipe between the two.
The short answer: which tier has which outfit
Each tier adds one outfit set. Each higher tier also includes everything in the lower tier, per Nexon's FAQ. The Zakum Package is therefore the only one with all three sets.
- Snail Package: the Well-Loved Outfit Set.
- Orange Mushroom Package: the Well-Loved Outfit Set plus the Founder's Thief Outfit Set.
- Zakum Package: the Well-Loved Outfit Set, the Founder's Thief Outfit Set and Manji's Outfit Set.
Zakum is a tier name here. It is not a boss you can fight at launch.
The fan reference NiaMeowDB lists the same split of outfits across the tiers. Its table matches the wiki on which set belongs to which package.
Tier comparison table
The table below uses the mapleclassic.wiki package pages. Prices are the USD figures the wiki lists. Nexon sets prices and can change them, so treat Nexon's store and FAQ as the final word.

The table shows two separate things. First, the outfit count rises by one at each step. Second, Founder's Access is not tied to the outfit count. It starts at the middle tier, so the cheapest package gives you cosmetics only and no early start.
The cosmetic counts include more than outfits. Per the wiki, the Snail Package lists four cosmetics: Mark of the Founder (Tan), Glimmer of the Founder, Jr. Balrog Invasion x50 and the Well-Loved Outfit Set. The Orange Mushroom Package lists seven in total, which covers those four plus its own hat, effect and outfit set. The Zakum Package lists twelve in total, which covers the seven plus its own hat, effect, outfit set and two rings.
What each tier adds besides outfits
The wiki's second package table breaks each tier down by slot. Each tier swaps in a new version of the hat and the effect.
- Hat: Mark of the Founder comes in Tan for Snail, Brown for Orange Mushroom and Black for Zakum.
- Effect: Glimmer of the Founder for Snail, Glow of the Founder for Orange Mushroom and Radiance of the Founder for Zakum.
- Consumable: Jr. Balrog Invasion x50 appears only in the Snail column.
- Rings: Founder's Chat Ring and Founder's Label Ring appear only in the Zakum column.
The wiki says the higher editions replace Glimmer with brighter versions rather than removing it. Nexon's FAQ says the Orange Mushroom and Zakum tiers carry the Snail items too, including Jr. Balrog Invasion x50. The wiki's second table leaves that consumable out of the higher columns, and the package pages list it under the Snail items that come with the upper tiers. Read the table as a list of what each tier adds, not a full inventory.
The outfit sets piece by piece
Per the wiki, the Well-Loved Outfit Set and the Founder's Thief Outfit Set each have six pieces. Manji's Outfit Set has five. The wiki pages do not name the individual pieces of the first two sets in the material we reviewed, so we do not list them here.
For Manji's Outfit Set, per NiaMeowDB, the pieces and slots are:
- Manji's Bamboo Hat, in the Hat slot.
- Manji's Clothes, in the Overall slot.
- Reticent Steps, in the Shoes slot.
- Manji's Blade, in the Weapon slot.
- Silent Sea of Clouds, in the Cape slot.
That reference is the only source we have for the piece names. Confirm them against the wiki or in game once you open the box.
One practical point comes from the wiki. Each outfit set arrives as a box rather than as loose items. The pieces inside are permanent and untradeable once the box is opened. The wiki lists the Founder's Package contents as cosmetic, untradeable and permanent. None of it is an equipment upgrade, and nothing in the fact sheet says these items change your stats.
What the Steam-only tier means for outfits
Nexon's FAQ confirms that the Steam version offers only the Zakum tier. The other tiers are sold through Nexon's own store. The wiki lists the Snail and Orange Mushroom packages as sold on the Nexon website only.
In practice, a Steam buyer gets all three outfit sets by default. A Steam buyer cannot pick the Snail or Orange Mushroom tier there. If you want a lower tier, you buy it on the Nexon website.
Nexon's FAQ also states that Founder's Packages cannot be bought with NX. NX balance is the only thing shared between MapleStory and Classic World, so you cannot spend existing NX on any tier.
Nexon says it published pre-download instructions for both Nexon Launcher and Steam on September 29, 2026. That means a Steam purchase and a Nexon Launcher purchase both have a published path to the client. It does not say that the two stores give different in-game items for the same tier, and nothing in the fact sheet suggests they do.
Every deadline Nexon has published
The wiki lists the sale window as September 2 to October 14, 2026. Three dates matter after that.

Note that the purchase deadline is in Pacific time and the mailbox deadline is in UTC. The two use different time zones, so do not convert one into the other from memory. Check each against the clock for your own region.
The wiki also lists a 90-day limit. It applies only to the Jr. Balrog consumable, which expires 90 days after it is opened. Everything else in the package is permanent once the box is opened.
How to claim, step by step
- Buy or upgrade by 11:59 PM PDT on October 14, 2026.
- Log in. The items wait in the in-game mailbox until 11:59 PM UTC on November 30, 2026.
- Leave Maple Island with a character. The wiki says a character has to leave Maple Island before the package can be opened.
- Take the package out of the mailbox, then open it within 30 days.
- Use the box on a character. The wiki says the box can be moved between characters on the same account while it lasts 30 days.
Step three matters for Snail buyers in particular. Per the wiki, Maple Island covers levels 1 to 10, so a new character has to progress past it before opening a box. Nexon's FAQ says Classic World characters are created fresh on Maple Island, and nothing transfers from other MapleStory worlds.
Upgrading between tiers
The wiki says only the items a new tier adds are sent out, so nothing already claimed arrives twice. It also says a package cannot be moved back down once bought. The upgrade option disappears with the rest of the sale at 11:59 PM PDT on October 14, 2026.
If you upgrade after Founder's Access has started, the wiki says the extra items are delivered on your next login. NiaMeowDB says the same for upgrades from Orange Mushroom to Zakum, and adds that delivery follows purchase confirmation.
The wiki lists these upgrade prices in USD: Snail to Orange Mushroom is $30.00, Snail to Zakum is $50.00 and Orange Mushroom to Zakum is $20.00. Nexon's FAQ covers upgrade mechanics and states that prices can change, so confirm the current figures with Nexon before you pay.
One caution on the Snail upgrade. Because Snail has no Founder's Access, upgrading it to a higher tier is the way a Snail buyer would gain access from October 6. We do not have a published statement on whether access starts at once after a late upgrade, so check the FAQ.
What the data does not tell us
- The fact sheet does not name the pieces of the Well-Loved Outfit Set or the Founder's Thief Outfit Set.
- It does not say whether any set is limited to certain classes. Nexon's FAQ and the wiki pages should be checked for that.
- It does not give euro or pound deadlines. The sale closes at one stated moment, 11:59 PM PDT on October 14, 2026.
- Nexon's FAQ says it answers whether the Founder's Package items expire. We do not restate that answer, so read the current text before relying on an item for the long term.
- No source we reviewed says whether the outfits will be offered again after the sale.
Expected, but not confirmed: the mailbox and sale details above could be updated by Nexon. The dates here are the ones the wiki and NiaMeowDB list as of this writing, and Nexon outranks both.
