maplestory-classic.com is an independent fan site for MapleStory Classic World, Nexon's recreation of the pre-Big Bang MapleStory inside the Global MapleStory client. It is not affiliated with Nexon, NEXON America or Wizet, and it carries no ads and no affiliate links.
What we publish
- News: what Nexon announced, when it takes effect and what it changes, with the Nexon source linked every time.
- Guides: long-form, step-by-step pieces on classes, training, bosses, quests and systems, each ending with a "Last verified" line and a Sources footer.
- The database: pages for every monster, map, quest and class at launch, built from structured data and explained in our own words.
Where the facts come from
In-game numbers (monster stats, drops, spawns, quest requirements, skill data) come from the structured data tables of mapleclassic.wiki, licensed CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, and are re-synced daily. Dates, prices, packages and policy come from Nexon's own posts. We never copy the wiki's prose; we use its facts and link to it.
How articles are written
Our writers (meet them here) are editorial personas. Drafting is done with AI assistance working strictly from the synced data and the linked sources: every number in a guide has to appear in the fact sheet it was written from, or the piece is not published. Articles are reviewed, and anything found wrong is corrected in place with the "updated" date changed. If you spot an error, tell us.
What we will not do
- Describe held-back content (third job, Orbis, El Nath, anything post-Big Bang) as if it were available.
- Promote private servers, real-money trading, exploits or dupes.
- Quote or name individual community members from Reddit or Discord.
- Run display ads or affiliate links while the site relies on data licensed for non-commercial use.
