Windia Grows to 20 Channels Ahead of Grand Launch

Nexon quietly added two channels to Windia on October 14, 2026, lifting MapleStory Classic World to 20 channels a week before the free Grand Launch.

Early on October 14, 2026, at about 03:30 UTC, the Windia channel list in MapleStory Classic World grew from 18 channels to 20. This site saw the change on the channel selection screen of the game client. That is our own check, not a statement from Nexon.

Nexon published no news post, maintenance notice or statement about the addition. Classic World still has a single world, Windia. Nexon has not announced a second world.

What is confirmed

  • Windia showed 18 channels before the change and 20 after it, per this site's check of the client.
  • Nexon did not announce the change on its news page.
  • Classic World remains a one-world game.

Where this fits

Founder's Access has been running since October 6, 2026, and is open only to players who bought a Founder's Package. The free Grand Launch is set for October 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM Pacific (6:00 PM UTC).

Founder's Access opened with a reported 14 channels. Players reported crowded training maps in the first days. The maps named were the Henesys hunting grounds, the Slime Tree in Ellinia and the Kerning City subway. Players also reported login queues.

Channels have been added more than once since then. This is the latest increase.

Separately, Nexon has a minor patch maintenance scheduled for October 15, 2026. Nexon announced it on October 13. It covers Korean-language support, Kerning City fixes and crash fixes. The notice does not mention channels.

What channels do

Channels are copies of the same world. Every channel has the same maps, monsters, spawns, drops and quests. Only the players differ.

More channels means fewer players competing for the same monsters on a popular map. That is the practical effect for anyone logging in this week.

How to switch when a map is packed

  • Click the channel button at the bottom of the game screen, or use the channel key.
  • Pick a different channel number.
  • The same map reloads with a different crowd.

Party members must be on the same channel to play together. Agree on a channel number before you start.

The Free Market and Cash Shop are shared across channels. Changing channel does not change what you can buy or sell.

What has not been announced

Nexon has not said whether more channels or a second world will arrive for the Grand Launch. That is when free players join. We expect demand to rise on October 21, 2026, but that is our expectation, not a Nexon figure.

Nexon has not given a target channel count for the Grand Launch. It has not said why the two channels were added. We will update this page if Nexon says more.

For now, watch Nexon's news page and the notes for the October 15 maintenance. If either mentions channels or worlds, we will report it.
