To Classic Beginners

Players who finished the closed online test events (A Strange and Familiar Wood, Beyond the Unknown) get the Classic Beginnings Label Ring and Chat Ring by mail: one of each per test completed.

The Journey Begins

A daily check-in: defeat monsters level 10 or above for Maple Leaves and trade 30 of them to Maple Administrator once per day per account. Missed days do not reset your progress; the next claim is simply the next day's reward.
Rewards: 14 daily rewards, starting with a Snail pet, Pet Food and 30 Red and Blue Potions, then Safety Charms, a Regular Store Permit, Return Scrolls, Megaphones, Cakes, Atmospheric Effect Boxes and Item Megaphones.

Halloween Candies

Collect 100 Halloween Candies from monsters level 10 or above and return them to Malady, then finish her hidden mission around Victoria Island.
Rewards: Pumpkin Basket: a tradable one-handed sword with Weapon Attack +27, Speed +3, fast attack speed and 7 upgrade slots.

Orange Slimes in town
Upcoming- When:

Orange Slimes spawn in the four main towns during the Halloween period.
Rewards: Halloween Candies, plus Red Malady's Candy (600 HP), Blue Malady's Candy (450 MP) and Green Malady's Candy (300 HP and 300 MP), all tradable.

GM event: Coconut Harvest

Two teams hit coconut trees with melee attacks for 5 minutes; ranged attacks and skills are disabled. Harry in the event map sells a melee weapon if you have none.

GM event: ladders and portals

Climb three stages within 6 minutes and pick the right portals; wrong ones send you back to the start.

GM event: jump quest challenge
Ended- When:

Finish a jump quest within 15 minutes, with movement set to default and Haste and Teleport disabled.
Rewards: Event Trophy for everyone; a Scroll of Secrets for finishing.

GM event rules
- You cannot enter if you already own a Scroll of Secrets or took part in a GM event in the past 24 hours.
- There are several rounds and rooms fill quickly; if you cannot get in, wait for the GM's next round.
- A Scroll of Secrets goes to Chun Ji at the Kerning City Construction Site for a quest that gives a Magic Box; Mr. Pickall in Kerning City opens the box for a random item.
- Movement and jump are set to default inside the jump and portal events, and consumables have no effect.

What events are running in MapleStory Classic World right now?
From Grand Launch on October 21, 2026 until November 18, 2026: The Journey Begins daily check-in (level 10+), The Marks We Leave Behind, the Mark of the Beta hunt (level 25+), and To Classic Beginners for closed test players. Halloween Candies and the Orange Slimes in town run from October 28 to November 18.
When is the next GM event?
Nexon's Grand Launch notes list three GM events, each from 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM UTC: a jump quest challenge on October 22, the Coconut Harvest on November 6, and a ladders-and-portals climb on December 19, 2026. Talk to Paul in Lith Harbor once the GM opens the Event Door.
What is a Scroll of Secrets?
The prize for finishing or winning a GM event. Take it to Chun Ji at the Kerning City Construction Site for a quest that gives a Magic Box, then Mr. Pickall in Kerning City opens the box for a random item. You cannot join another GM event while you hold one.
Does missing a day reset The Journey Begins?
No. The reward depends on how many days you have checked in, not on a streak. Claim Day 1 on Monday and come back on Wednesday, and you get the Day 2 reward. It is once per day per account.
