Changes and updates
Nexon lists seven changes.
- Korean (Beta) display language. It is added alongside English and Spanish (Beta) in the login and game settings.
- Chat character limits. Chat now only allows text characters supported by English, Spanish and Korean. Text from other languages can no longer be used in chat.
- Shield Guard. The sound effect has been changed.
- Kerning City map. The map is adjusted so the Kerning City Civic Center is easier to reach.
- Maple Administrator NPC. The NPC is added to Kerning City.
- Beauty Album. A confirmation message now says your current look will be saved to the selected slot when you apply a saved look.
- Store Permit listing. The interface now clearly shows how many items you have registered when listing items for sale.
Bug fixes: crashes and disconnects
Most of the list concerns the game client disconnecting. Nexon says it fixed disconnects in these cases:
- Attacking a monster with Arrow Bomb or Poison Breath.
- Picking up an item a pet was trying to loot before being dismissed.
- Clicking OK on a trade confirmation after the other player cancelled.
- Removing a 0 stack throwing star from storage.
- Clicking OK on the popup at a new character's first login.
- Using Heal on party members near Zombie Mushroom monsters in the Ant Tunnel.
Nexon also says launcher login failures no longer close the client without showing the reason. A separate fix covers players who were sometimes unable to exit the Cash Shop.
Bug fixes: skills, combat and economy
The patch notes list several fixes that affect play directly.
- The Bandit skill Steal could trigger meso and item drops, steal an item and grant its buff even when the attack missed. Nexon says this is resolved.
- Monsters defeated by damage over time effects, such as burn or bleed, granted double EXP and item drops. Nexon says this is resolved.
- Boss monsters could incorrectly be knocked back by certain skills. Nexon says this is resolved.
- 100% Enhancement scrolls could not be used on items because of the Lucky Day effect. Nexon says this is resolved.
- Woodcrafting certain items that should not give crafting EXP did give EXP when using a Woodcrafting Kit. Nexon says this is resolved.
The notes do not say how long the double EXP and Steal issues were live, or whether any action will be taken on past gains. That has not been announced.
Store Permit, pet and item fixes
Two Store Permit fixes are listed. Players could use a Store Permit while Dark Sight was active, which left the opened shop invisible to other players. Unsold items also did not immediately return to the inventory after a Store Permit shop was closed. Nexon says both are resolved.
Pets also get a fix. They would not pick up stackable Etc. items when all inventory slots were full, even if an existing stack had room. Nexon says this is resolved.
Visual and text fixes
- Detective Glass and Soft Chocolate Fondue Scepter sometimes appeared invisible when equipped over certain two-handed weapons.
- The Iron Body and Magic Armor afterimage appeared to drift away from the character.
- Certain character names displayed on two lines with the White Label Ring equipped.
- A rope in The Murky Swamp could not be climbed.
- Some platforms in West Rocky Mountain IV in Perion were invisible.
- The Dark Sight skill description showed Level 1 Disorder as a requirement instead of Level 3 Disorder.
- The Event NPC Paul showed a reference to the Closed Online Test in one dialogue option.
- The Dr. Betty's Research on Plant Fossils quest said 20 samples were required instead of 8.
- The Pet Booster Essentials Pack showed an incorrect message about pet skills.
What it changes this week
Plan around the window. Nexon says every Classic World server is down for roughly three hours. Finish trades and close any Store Permit shops beforehand. If you play at the edge of the window, check Nexon's notice for any extension.
If you were avoiding Heal near Zombie Mushroom spawns because of crashes, Nexon says that disconnect is fixed. Players hunting with Bandits should note that Steal now depends on the attack hitting, per the notes. Nexon has not announced anything else for this patch.
