After reading this guide you will know which MapleStory Classic World events are scheduled since Grand Launch, when each one opens and closes in UTC, what level you need, who to talk to first, and what you can earn. You will also know how the GM events share one set of entry rules and what a Scroll of Secrets is for.

A note on method. The dates, levels and rewards below come from the event schedule behind this guide. Grand Launch timing comes from Nexon's FAQ. The schedule does not record every detail, so gaps are called out as they come up. Nothing here is a prediction about events Nexon has not scheduled.

Launch timing in one paragraph

Nexon's FAQ states that Grand Launch was Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM PDT. The FAQ also gives that hour as 6:00 PM UTC. Every event time in this guide is in UTC, so convert it to your own time zone before you plan a session. Classic World runs inside the Global MapleStory (GMS) client. Per Nexon's FAQ there is one world, Windia, and Nexon has not announced a second.

Founder's Access players got in on October 6, 2026, and Nexon says their progress carried into Grand Launch with no wipe. One earlier event is already over: the Founder's First Step daily check-in, for level 10 and up through Maple Administrator, ran from October 6 until the day before Grand Launch, per Nexon's Founder's Access release notes. It does not appear in the schedule below.

All scheduled events in date order

The table lists every event in the schedule, sorted by start time. Times are UTC. Where the level column says not listed, the schedule gives no level requirement.

Read the table in two groups. The first group is the long-running events, which all close on November 18, 2026 (the schedule lists the last minute of that day in UTC). The second group is the three GM events, each a short window that starts at 00:00 UTC and ends at 02:00 UTC on a single date. The long-running events let you work at your own pace. The GM events do not.

One oddity: Mark of the Beta and To Classic Beginners start at 00:00 UTC on October 21, 2026, which is earlier than the 6:00 PM UTC launch hour. Nexon's release notes say only that Mark of the Beta was planned to begin at Grand Launch. The schedule does not explain the gap, so treat the launch hour as the practical start.

The Journey Begins: the daily check-in

The Journey Begins opened at 18:00 UTC on October 21, 2026 and closes at the end of November 18, 2026 UTC. It needs level 10. It is a check-in event, so the work is small but repeated.

  1. Reach level 10 and find Maple Administrator.
  2. Defeat monsters of level 10 or above. They drop Maple Leaves.
  3. Collect 30 Maple Leaves.
  4. Trade the 30 Maple Leaves to Maple Administrator. You can do this once per day per account.
  5. Collect that day's reward and repeat the next day.

The schedule lists 14 daily rewards. The first day gives a Snail pet, Pet Food and 30 Red and Blue Potions. Later days give Safety Charms, a Regular Store Permit, Return Scrolls, Megaphones, Cakes, Atmospheric Effect Boxes and Item Megaphones. The schedule does not give the order of every reward after the first day, so check Maple Administrator in game for the exact sequence.

The schedule also states that missed days do not reset your progress. The next claim is just the next day's reward. The limit is per account, not per character, so a second character does not give you a second claim. The data does not record how many monsters it takes to gather 30 Maple Leaves, because no drop rate is listed.

Because the reward list has 14 entries and the event window is much longer than 14 days, a player who logs in only now and then still has time to finish the list. That is arithmetic from the dates in the table, not a Nexon statement, so confirm the cutoff in game before you rely on it.

Halloween Candies and the Orange Slimes

Halloween Candies runs from October 28, 2026 at 00:00 UTC to the end of November 18, 2026 UTC. It needs level 10. You can start with Malady in Henesys or Kerning City.

  1. Hunt monsters of level 10 or above and collect 100 Halloween Candies.
  2. Return the candies to Malady.
  3. Finish her hidden mission around Victoria Island.

The reward is the Pumpkin Basket, a tradable one-handed sword. The schedule lists Weapon Attack +27, Speed +3, fast attack speed and 7 upgrade slots. The schedule does not describe the hidden mission, so we will not guess at its steps. Players who reach it will see the details in game.

The Orange Slimes in town event runs on the same dates and also needs level 10. During the Halloween period, Orange Slimes spawn in four towns: Henesys, Ellinia, Kerning City and Perion. They drop Halloween Candies, which feed the Malady mission. They also drop three tradable consumables:

  • Red Malady's Candy: 600 HP.
  • Blue Malady's Candy: 450 MP.
  • Green Malady's Candy: 300 HP and 300 MP.

The candies matter because they are tradable. The data does not record Orange Slime HP, spawn counts or drop rates, so we cannot say how fast the 100 candies come in. If a town map is crowded, Nexon's FAQ says to change channel with the channel button at the bottom of the screen. The same map loads with a different crowd, and monsters, drops and quests are identical on every channel. Party members must be on the same channel to play together.

Mark of the Beta and To Classic Beginners

The Marks We Leave Behind is the Mark of the Beta event. It needs level 25 and starts with Jay in Henesys. The task is to follow clues around Victoria Island to find the Mark of the Beta. No reward is listed in the schedule. Our separate Mark of the Beta guide covers the journal page locations, so this guide does not repeat them.

To Classic Beginners is not a task. It is a mailbox delivery. Players who finished the closed online test events, A Strange and Familiar Wood and Beyond the Unknown, receive the Classic Beginnings Label Ring and Chat Ring by mail. You get one of each per test completed. No level is listed. If you did not take part in those tests, there is nothing to do here.

GM events: the three scheduled dates

The schedule has three GM events. Each starts at 00:00 UTC and ends at 02:00 UTC on its date. For each one, you go to Paul in Lith Harbor once the GM opens the Event Door. No level is listed for any of them.

October 22, 2026: jump quest challenge

You must finish a jump quest within 15 minutes. Movement is set to default, and Haste and Teleport are disabled. Everyone gets an Event Trophy. Finishing earns a Scroll of Secrets.

November 6, 2026: Coconut Harvest

Two teams hit coconut trees with melee attacks for 5 minutes. Ranged attacks and skills are disabled. Harry in the event map sells a melee weapon if you have none. Everyone gets an Event Trophy. Only the winning team gets a Scroll of Secrets.

December 19, 2026: ladders and portals

You climb three stages within 6 minutes and pick the right portals. Wrong ones send you back to the start. Everyone gets an Event Trophy. A Scroll of Secrets goes to players who reach the last stage.

Shared GM event rules

  • You cannot enter if you already own a Scroll of Secrets.
  • You also cannot enter if you took part in a GM event in the past 24 hours.
  • There are several rounds, and rooms fill quickly.
  • If you cannot get in, wait for the GM's next round.

The ownership rule has a practical effect. Use the Scroll of Secrets before the next GM event, or you will be locked out. The data does not list how many rounds each event has, or how many players fit in a room.

What the Scroll of Secrets is for

The Scroll of Secrets is a quest item, not a scroll you apply to equipment. Here is the chain, per the event notes:

  1. Bring the Scroll of Secrets to Chun Ji at the Kerning City Construction Site.
  2. Complete the quest she gives you. The reward is a Magic Box.
  3. Take the Magic Box to Mr. Pickall in Kerning City.
  4. Mr. Pickall opens the box and gives a random item.

The pool of possible items is not listed, and no drop rates are given. Treat the result as unknown until Nexon or the wiki publishes it. Because the ownership rule blocks re-entry, finishing this chain promptly keeps you eligible for the next GM event.

What the schedule does not tell us

  • No drop rates are listed for Maple Leaves, Halloween Candies or the Orange Slimes.
  • The Halloween hidden mission is not described.
  • The order of the Journey Begins rewards after the first day is not listed.
  • The Mark of the Beta reward and the To Classic Beginners level are blank.
  • No events are scheduled in the data past December 19, 2026. Nexon may add more, and we will only cover them once they are announced.

Plan around the confirmed dates, and check Nexon's news posts and mapleclassic.wiki for updates before each window opens.
