Nexon will take all MapleStory Classic World game servers offline on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 6:00 AM PDT. The company says the scheduled maintenance should last approximately 5 hours and conclude around 11:00 AM PDT. The notice was published on October 19, 2026.

Maintenance times by region

Nexon lists the window in four time zones. All times below come from the maintenance notice.

  • PDT (UTC -7): 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, October 21.
  • EDT (UTC -4): 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, October 21.
  • CEST (UTC +2): 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, October 21.
  • AEDT (UTC +11): 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, October 22.

Nexon calls the 5 hour length an anticipated figure. The notice does not promise an exact finish time. Players should treat 11:00 AM PDT as the target, not a guarantee.

What is unavailable

Nexon states that all MapleStory Classic World game servers will be unavailable during the window. The notice does not name individual worlds or channels. It does not list any server as staying online.

In practice, a player cannot log in, train or trade on Classic World during these hours. The notice does not say whether any other part of Global MapleStory (GMS) is affected. That has not been announced in this post.

What the update contains

The notice lists two items under changes and updates:

  • MapleStory Classic World will be updated to v.1.0.0.
  • A monthly Windows update.

Nexon also says Grand Launch release notes will be available soon. The company says additional details on changes and updates will be posted on the same page after maintenance is complete.

That means the contents of v.1.0.0 are not yet confirmed. The notice names the version number and nothing else about what changes inside the game. Any claim about new maps, systems or balance changes in this build would be a guess at this point.

Confirmed and still to come

Confirmed: the start time, the expected length, the affected servers and the version number. All four come directly from Nexon.

Not yet announced: the full release notes, the list of changes in v.1.0.0, and any compensation or extension plans. The notice mentions none of these. We will write up the release notes once Nexon publishes them.

Founder's Access opened on October 6, 2026, and Grand Launch is October 21, 2026. This maintenance is the step that sits on the Grand Launch date itself. Nexon has not said in this notice at what hour after the window closes new players can begin.

What to do this week

Players in Founder's Access should log out and bank any in-progress work before 6:00 AM PDT. Check the time conversion for your region, especially in Australia, where the window falls on October 22 local time.

Players who plan to start at Grand Launch should expect no access until the maintenance ends. Nexon says it will post updates on the same notice page after the work is complete. Check there first, not third-party posts, for the confirmed reopening and the final patch details.
